Knowsley ward by-election

Following the resignation of Cllr Michelle Aldridge a vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the Knowsley ward. An election has been called to fill the vacancy and if the election is contested the date of poll will be Thursday 26 July 2018.

Information for candidates

Nomination period

Nomination papers can be delivered to the Returning Officer on any working days between Friday 22 June and Friday 29 June 2018 between the hours of 9.30am and 4.00pm.

Please contact the office on 01695 585014 or via elections.office@westlancs.gov.uk if you would like us to send you a copy of the nomination papers.  Alternatively you can download a copy from the Electoral Commission, www.electoralcommission.org.uk

Postal vote delivery

Postal votes are expected to be despatched on Friday 13 July.  They are despatched using Royal Mail First Class service and may be delivered as early as 14 July.


The count will take place at St. Annes Parish Centre, Prescot Road, after the close of poll.

Information for voters

Poll cards will be delivered around the 4 July.  You do not need to bring your poll card to the polling station.
