support people looking to set up a new business in
West Lancashire.
Below are a number of services available
offering free support and guidance:
Start-Up Lancashire
The Start-Up Lancashire scheme offers
support to start up a new business, and to new businesses via
one-to-one sessions with a business advisor and group workshops on
a variety of topics.
A business advisor will be able to help with
all aspects of setting up a business from your business plan, to
registering and financing your business to marketing advice plus
much more.
Eligibility: The scheme will
be available to people aged 18-55, living in West Lancashire and
looking to start a non-retail company which trades business to
business. New businesses which are up to 36 months old may
also be eligible.

Starting Up and Scaling Up Social Enterprises
Budding social entrepreneurs can apply for a place on the Lloyds
Banking Group Social Entrepreneurs Programme, available at the
School for Social Entrepreneurs North West, part of the award
winning Blackburne House Group.
The programme is designed to empower individuals who have an
idea for an enterprise which addresses social issues and
disadvantages in their communities, providing skills and
finance to bring an idea to life.
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive learning at the
school and a financial contribution starting at £4,000 upwards to
£25,000 to fund their organisation. Students will also receive a
senior mentor from Lloyds Banking Group during their time on the
course.
