The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, designed to recognise and encourage the outstanding achievements of UK businesses.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of:

  • Innovation
  • International trade
  • Sustainable development
  • Promoting opportunity through social mobility

Lancashire Tourism Awards 2017

It’s now time to enter your business for the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2017.

The Lancashire Tourism Awards celebrate the success of tourism businesses in Lancashire. If you're proud of what you do to contribute to Lancashire's £3.8billion visitor economy then this is your opportunity to shout about it.

Whether you're a visitor attraction, a hotel, a food and drink business or anything in-between, there is a category for you to enter.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise

Three West Lancashire businesses are celebrating success after winning at the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise held on Thursday 21 April 2016. The West Lancashire winners include:

  • Aqua Fabrications Ltd - International Trade Winner
  • Fairbanks Environmental Limited - International Trade Winner
  • Home Instead Senior Care - Innovation Winner

This follows on from the success of Skelmersdale based shoe manufacturer Hotter who were named winner of a Queen's Award for Enterprise 2015.

Let's talk Apprenticeship Awards 2016

 West Lancashire’s top apprentices and the employers who invest in apprenticeships had their achievements recognised at the 2016 Let’s talk Apprenticeship Awards.

More than 70 people from the private, public and community sectors enjoyed the apprenticeship awards and business growth breakfast at West Tower, Aughton on Thursday 10 March 2016. The event was organised by West Lancashire Borough Council. The successful businesses and individuals include:

Advanced Apprentice of the Year Award

  • Highly Commended: Roisin Sweeney – Face for Business
