Boost Pop Up Cafe
Boost has launched a series of Pop Up Cafes across Lancashire. The Pop Up Cafe is very informal and is an opportunity for you to drop in and have a growth conversation with a qualified and experienced business advisor, Sue Denver. Sue will be available on the day to explain how to start and grow a business, what support is available across Lancashire and make recommendations for your next steps.
The West Lancashire Pop Up Cafe will be in West Lancashire Investment Centre, Skelmersdale on Tuesday 31 January 2017, 10.00am-2.00pm (no appointment necessary).

Community Connect, Skelmersdale
The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce will launch their first Community Connect Network in Skelmersdale with a focus to foster greater business relationships and professional connections among the businesses and organisations in and around this area.
This free networking event will welcome, introduce and promote new commerce for greater economic development and growth in the Skelmersdale area. The event will be at Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel, Skelmersdale on Tuesday 31 January 2017, 4.00-6.00pm.
If you are a member of the Chamber or you are a business in the Skelmersdale area, this event is free. For non-members and businesses outside of Skelmersdale, the event is £50 or free as one of the two available taster events.

Northern Lights Awards 2017
The Northern Lights Awards 2017 will highlight collaboration between and within businesses in the Northern Powerhouse geographical area and is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on your organisation. The awards are now closed for entries.
The awards winners will be announced at the Conference Dinner in Manchester on the evening of the Tuesday 21 February 2017.

The Red Rose Awards 2017
The Red Rose Awards 2017 is now open for entries and will take place on Thursday 9 March 2017. The annual awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of sectors and provide an opportunity to shine a spotlight on your organisation.
The ceremony will be held at Empress Ballroom at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on Thursday 9 March 2017.

OWL Business Focus
OWL (Ormskirk and West Lancashire) Business Focus is a group of business people who live, work or trade in the Ormskirk or West Lancashire area. It is a member-led organisation which enables connections to be made between individual members, their organisations, other business groups and the wider community.
