The Co-Operative Bank
From the heart of Skelmersdale town centre, a major financial
institution is only a phone call away from its thousands of
personal banking customers.
The Co-operative Bank is the only UK bank based in the North West
of England. It has over 100 branches throughout the UK and employs
over 3,700 people. The Co-operative Bank has led the way in
personal telephone banking and today employs over 700 people in
their telephone banking operation at Delf House, in Skelmersdale
town centre. Delf House is the biggest call centre in the whole of
the UK - handling over 11 million calls every year - supporting
customers 365 days a year.
Mick Firth, Executive Director of Personal Banking, explained:
