Statement of Policy
West Lancashire District Council, acting as Licensing Authority,
under the Gambling Act 2005 must publish a statement of policy as
to how it will administer its responsibilities under the Act.
The policy was approved by full Council on the 4th October 2006,
following a 12-week consultation period during the summer of 2006.
The consultation involved all major stakeholders in the gambling
industry and the public of West Lancashire.
The policy was published on 18 December 2006 and came into effect
on the 31 January 2007.
