If you are either a Motor Salvage Operator or a Scrap Metal
Dealer then you must register with us. Failure to do so is a
criminal offence and subject to a fine.
There is a fee to register for three years as a Motor Salvage
Operator. This fee is used to finance the administration of the
registration procedure and is currently £77.70 plus £15.00
Police fee.
There is no fee to register as a Scrap Metal Dealer.

Tacit Consent will apply.
This means that you will be able to act as though your application
is granted if you have not heard from the Council by the end of the
target period.
