Draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2009
West Lancashire Borough Council has developed a new
draft licensing policy for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire
vehicles, drivers and operators.
The draft Policy Statement has been
established to provide clear guidance to the taxi trade, as well as
the travelling public, and represents a significant review of all
policies and practices relevant to the Hackney Carriage and Private
Hire licensing regime.
The deadline for comments on the draft Policy
ended on the 11 September 2009. We are currently assessing the
comments we received, and this information will help shape the
final version of the Policy, which will be submitted to the
Council's Licensing and Appeals Committee for approval. Everyone
who submitted a comment will be contacted to inform them of which
session of Committee will approve the final version of the
Policy.
