Farmers' and Speciality Market makes a March
return
Ormskirk's popular Farmers' and Speciality Market is returning to
the town centre.
On Friday 14 March more than 20 stalls will be in Aughton Street
offering a variety of food, drink and other wares, much of it
produced locally.
As well as traditional produce such as fresh eggs and homemade
bread, there are also more exotic items to try, such as guinea fowl
and ostrich meat.
The market promises to be an excellent chance to pick up some
wholesome treats in time for Easter.
Cllr David Westley, Portfolio Holder for Street Scene, said: "The
Farmers' market has proved to be very popular and is now a regular
monthly feature in the town centre. It is providing an additional
facility for local residents and helping to attract even more
visitors to the District.
"The market operates from 9.30am to 2.30pm and I would encourage
everyone to put the date in their diaries now and make sure they
don't miss out."
