Christmas wishes from the District Council's
Chairman

2007 has been a wonderful year for Susan and myself. The support
and enthusiasm that people have shown to us has been overwhelming
and we have thoroughly enjoyed such a variety of events and meeting
so many interesting people across the district.
Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, and a really good
charity committee, over £15,000 has already been raised for my
chosen charities - the Scouts and Guides of West Lancashire.
I chose to raise funds for the Scouts and Guides because they are
such fantastic organisations for our young people. It has been
encouraging to see their dedication to our fundraising efforts,
such as sponsored silences and bag packing at local supermarkets,
and they are always at the ready to offer a helping hand at other
events.
I am very pleased, not only by what has been achieved for the
charities, but from seeing at first hand so much effort put in by
so many to make West Lancashire an even better place to live.
Merry Christmas everyone, may you all have good health and
prosperity in the New Year.
Cllr William Cropper
Chairman, West Lancashire District Council
