West Lancashire District Council

Register of Electors is published

7 December 2007, 07/434

Register of Electors is now published
The Register of Electors 2008 has been published and the District Council is urging residents to check that their details are correct.

The revised version of the full Register of Electors is now available for inspection, under supervision, during office hours at 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk. You can also check your details by calling the Election Office on 01695 585018.

William Taylor, West Lancs Returning Officer, said: "You need to be on the electoral roll to have your say in local, parliamentary and European elections and incorrect details may result in residents not being able to vote - so it really is worth taking the time out to check."

The edited register, which leaves out the names and addresses of people who have asked for their names to be excluded from that version, is also available for inspection and may be copied or bought.

Anyone who needs more information about how to register to vote, or about the electoral register, can contact the Electoral Services Office on 01695 585018 or email elections.office@westlancsdc.gov.uk.
