Tell us a story at Chapel
Gallery
Listen to some delightful tales as stories unfold at the
next family-friendly workshop at Chapel Gallery.
Professional storyteller Fran O’Boyle will be back by
popular demand on Saturday 25 July and promises to have children
and adults mesmerised with his magical myths and legends and fun
characters.
He will be doing free pre-school story sessions at 10.30am
and 1pm, where toddlers will get to meet puppets Rosy the dancer
and Albert and Ethel who are always playing hide and
seek.
There will then be family friendly stories at 11.30am and
2.30pm where children and their parents will hear magical tales and
see worlds unfold before their eyes. Fran’s stories will take
listeners to gentle places where myth, legend and reality become
one.
Cllr Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community
Services, said: "Everyone loves to hear a story or two and I’m sure
that Fran will have children and even the adults captivated with
his exciting tales. The programme of stories has been specially
planned for pre-school years and our family friendly events and
sessions are free so make sure you don’t miss them!"
This latest activity complements the free weekly room the
gallery provides every Saturday that is dedicated to creative
pastimes for both parents and youngsters to enjoy. Whilst there,
visitors can meet the gallery’s friendly team or join in the
specially organised activities to accompany the current exhibition
on show.
The family friendly activities enhance the school holiday
workshops for youngsters, exhibitions, events and other excellent
facilities. To find out more contact 01695 571328, visit our
