Fun for all at Birch Green Community Centre
Enjoy a day of fun and help raise money for good causes too
during a special event at West Lancashire Borough Council’s Birch
Green Community Centre.
Families are being urged to go along to the Birch Green Fun Day
on Saturday 13 June, from 10am to 4pm, where there will be plenty
of entertainment at the popular centre in Hartlands,
Skelmersdale.
The event is jam-packed with lots of activities for all ages to
enjoy, with everything from a bouncy castle, children’s rides,
stalls, games, competitions and refreshments.
A caricaturist will be on hand to draw people’s portraits and
there will also be a children’s entertainer as well as penalty
shoot-out and martial arts demonstrations. There will also be more
traditional games such as guess the name of the teddy and the
weight of the cake.
Councillor Andrew Fowler, Portfolio Holder for Community
Services, said: "This event promises to be a fun-filled day for all
the family with lots of activities going on throughout the day to
keep young and old entertained. It also raises the profile of the
centre and it’s a good opportunity for people to find out what
great facilities and services are on their doorstep - so don’t miss
it!"
Entrance to the event is free although there will discounted
charges made by the organisations taking part for some of the
activities.
