May half term sport activities
Youngsters who enjoy sport are in for a treat during the May
half term as there’s lots planned across the district to make the
holidays fun.
The Council’s Sports Development Team have organised a range of
energetic activities - so there's no excuse to be bored during the
school break!
Activities will include football, dodgeball, kwik cricket,
rounders and lots more and are for children aged 8 to 13yrs. Even
better news is that they are free of charge (excluding trips).
Children who live in rural parts won’t miss out either as some
of the events will take place at village halls in out-of-town
areas.
Dave Tilleray, Executive Manager for Community Services, said:
"We want to ensure that there are as many positive opportunities as
possible for children to take part in sporting activities. We are
particularly keen to make sure that our activities are open to all
children no matter where they live to ensure that they can take
part in lots of fun recreational events. We have lots going on for
youngsters during the May half term at a number of venues across
the district so make sure you come along!"
