Educating dog owners

Educating dog owners

School talks
The Dog Control Service, regularly visits schools to teach children how to care for their pets properly. Youngsters are the next generation of pet owners and teaching them about the responsibility of owning a dog is the key to solving future problems of dog fouling and strays.

Parish councils and residents' groups
The Dog Control Service regularly makes contact with local residents groups to discuss dog control issues. These meetings can be used to provide information about the various aspects of the service, or as a means to keep up to date on local dog control problems.
