Our kitchen replacement programme is carried out in phases throughout the year.
We will write to you and tell you if your home is to be included in the next 12 month phase of work.
Before the work begins we will write to you again clearly explaining what we can do and what we cannot do to your home. This letter will invite you to a consultation meeting where we will explain to you what will happen.
Our tenant liaison officer will visit you again a week before the start of the work to tell you what you need to do to prepare for the work such as removing contents from cupboards, and the day before to ensure access for the contractors. The work on your house will last approximately 10 working days from initial removal of your old kitchen to handover of a new one.
After the consultation meeting, a designer from the kitchen suppliers, Rixonway (external link) will arrange to meet with you so that you can chose your new kitchen from a range of options.
Following this meeting, you have two weeks to change your mind about any parts of the design that you have chosen. After this the design goes into production and cannot be changed.
You can choose from
You can choose the options for your new kitchen from a range of four styles and four types of worktops. You can also select door finish and door handle style. You can see how the different combinations will look by using the kitchen design viewer to help you choose a style.
We will not take down walls or remodel your home, we will only refurbish the kitchen. If you buy new appliances such as a split level cooker, we will fit these for you. We will also fit a vent if you have a tumble drier.
We will also decorate the kitchen; we offer a choice of paint colours. You can also buy your own paint and we will decorate for you with this. If you want to supply your own tiles, we will fit them for you but they MUST only be 150mm square. You will not be refunded if you choose to buy your own paint and tiles.
