Hunter's Hill, Hilldale
Hunter's Hill was a former quarry that has since been transformed by the Council to make the most of its beautiful woodlands, shrubs and rock faces by creating footpaths, wheelchair access, seating and picnic areas as well as scenic view points.
Visitors can wander through the serene woodlands, discover the hidden wildlife, take in the extraordinary panoramic views or just go for a picnic.
Hunter's hill is a particularly good site for bees and butterflies in the summer months and for fungi in the autumn/winter months. The Ranger Service manage the habitats accordingly and there are a themed volunteer days and walks throughout the year. For further information please see our events programme.
