Richmond Park, Burscough

Richmond ParkSituated centrally in the village of Burscough, Richmond Park was established as an open grassland area in 1962 and covers around 6.2 acres of green open space.

The site has a good path network with a number of attractive flower beds and benches and to allow you to sit and enjoy the surroundings. There are two play areas providing recreation for younger children, whilst the football and basketball pitches, and the small skating area, provide something for older children and teenagers to enjoy.

  • Outdoor fitness equipment available for use free of charge. The equipment is designed to work against your own body weight to allow a full cardio-vascular workout for all major muscle groups.  

How to find us

Richmond Park is located within 200 metres from the A59 from Ormskirk to Preston on Liverpool Road S, with close access for cars available via an entrance drive off the B5241 Junction Lane.

For pedestrians, the park is in close proximity to Burscough Junction Train Station, which can be accessed via Junction Lane. Visit the Burscough Junction website (external link) for train timetables. Bus stops are located in Burscough town centre, a short 15 minute walk from the park. You could use gardening skills, help to publicise events and activities, create new habitat or even be the Ranger's eyes and ears when you use the park.
