Station Approach

Station approachStation Approach was adopted by the Parks and Countryside service in 2016. The site previously marked the starting point of the Ormskirk - Skelmersdale branch line, and housed a goods yard and engine shed.

Today the area has been handed over to nature, with a mix of woodland and grassland habitats providing homes for Station approach - spidera wide range of wildlife.

The site benefits from a network of hard-standing paths - making it a pleasant place for a stroll any time of the year. Keep an eye out for our collection of wooden chainsaw-carved sculptures!
