Ranger events and activities
countryside walk event

The Ranger Service runs an annual programme of events and activities ranging from guided walks and themed strolls to children's workshops and local festivals.

What's on when
For full details of events and activities, visit the Events section of this website.

Major events during the year include a Green Fayre and Kite Festival at Beacon Country Park, both of which attract thousands of visitors to the park.

A full programme of guided walks caters for all abilities and interests, from those suited to easy health walks and themed strolls looking at our local wildlife and landscape, to those who prefer more strenuous full day walks around the West Lancashire countryside.

Children are important visitors to the countryside, and the Rangers enhance their visits by running a Wildlife Watch Club on the first Saturday of every month.
