Artist Paola McClure is well known for her strange alien like
creatures, handmade from vintage fabrics and second-hand clothing.
Although some of the work may have a dark edge, it is impossible to
escape the sense of fun and the joy of making, which is found in
all the soft sculpture characters and large-scale installation
pieces.

Alan Joyce is a painter who’s interested in a broad range of
subjects, from portraits to urban landscape. He works chiefly in
oils but also produces work in oil pastel and watercolour.
No matter what the subject or medium, his work is distinguished
by its painstaking realisation, vivid colour and inventive use of
light effects.

species that is spreading through the British countryside and it is
choking out our native flora. The only way to stop it is to remove
the plants before they have chance to seed. Help to tackle the
problem with our Balsam Bashing event. Please wear suitable

Looking for something to do for fathers day, well this promises
to be a treat for all the family! The launch of this new route
between Southport and Wigan will see cyclists from each end being
led along the new route, meeting at Burscough Wharf for a
celebration and family fun day. Riders will then be led to the
end or back to their start point. With lots of things to do, a
prize draw for the riders and lots of raffle prizes, don't miss out
on this fun day.
