The Environment
Agency (external link) is working to reduce the risk of
flooding by improving flood defences and providing information to
warn people about flooding as soon as possible.
The Environment Agency has a 24 hour Floodline phoneline, giving
advice on how to prepare for floods, what to do when warnings are
issued - call 0845 988 1188. They also have an online
flood warning (external link) service.
