Older People's Champion
To ensure that older people are at the heart of our council’s
activity - we have appointed an Older People’s Champion. The role
of the champion is to advise the council on issues that support and
encourage active, independent and healthy lives for older
people.

As well as the usual facilities you'd expect from our
sports centres and pools, many centres
also run activities like active retirement classes, and offer free
admission to senior citizens. Sessions at swimming pools are also
discounted.
