Employment area improvements
We are making improvements to the area’s existing employment
areas. This is aimed at improving the image of the area and thereby
retaining and attracting investment in West Lancashire.
To date, implemented schemes include:
- Improvements to structure landscaping and
pedestrian routes in Stanley Industrial Estate, Skelmersdale;
- Improvements to structure landscaping at
Pimbo Industrial Estate, Skelmersdale;
- The provision of a landscape improvement
scheme and the re-design of the carriageway at the entrance of
White Moss
Business Park, Skelmersdale;
- Landscape and visual improvements to the
southern entrance of Burscough Industrial Estate;
- A financial contribution towards the Council
funded and monitored CCTV system at Burscough Industrial
Estate;
- Environmental and visual improvements to the
main entrance of Burscough Industrial Estate,
Future schemes
Additional improvement works are currently being considered
to further enhance Burscough Industrial Estate and Gillibrands
Industrial Estate.
