White Moss Business Park is a high quality,
mainly office based, development built on 13 hectares of land
adjacent to Junction 4 of the M58 Motorway at Skelmersdale. The
park is distinguished by its impressive parkland environment and is
home to our flagship West Lancashire Investment Centre, the
National Farmers' Unions Northwest Office and a range of small and
medium sized businesses.
Although the park is now well
established,
a persistent problem has been inconsiderate parking by HGVs and
other commercial vehicles on highway land at the entrance to the
site. This led to the cutting-up of the highway verge, access to
the site being restricted and a negative first impression for
visitors.
At the end of 2007 we worked with BCA
Landscape to design a landscape improvement scheme to give a high
quality first impression to visitors and re-design the carriageway
to prevent inconsiderate parking.
The implemented landscaping scheme includes a range of
planting and shrubs to reflect the ‘White Moss’. In particular the
scheme includes:
Cream Delight, Annabelle and Cherry Brandy
shrub beds;
Three Himalayan Birch trees, noted for their
white bark;
Spring Green and White Dream tulip beds,
and;
Bridal Crown and Narcissus Jenny daffodil
beds.
