We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person to support the delivery of an efficient and effective Planning and Building Control Service.

The Planning Support Officer will assist in the administrative processing of planning applications and building control submissions using computerised and manual systems within the deadlines set. In addition, you will assist in the processing of planning pre-application enquiries as well as producing and issuing decision notices and completion certificates.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team, and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a busy office.  You will have experience of using computerised systems and be educated to GCSE level or equivalent (including 3 passes at Grade C or above, ideally including Maths and English).  An ECDL, CLAIT Level 2 or an equivalent IT qualification is also desirable.
