Help with heating costs

Keep warm this winter and find out about the help available to assist with heating costs:

• West Lancs Winter Warm - if you are an owner occupier living in West Lancashire and meet the eligibility criteria, you could receive funding to carry out gas boiler and gas fire repairs and repairs to radiators.
• Warm home discount (external link) - you could get £140 off your electricity bill through the Warm Home Discount Scheme.
• Cold weather payment (external link) - you may get a Cold Weather Payment if you’re getting certain benefits. Payments are made when your local temperature is either recorded as, or forecast to be, an average of zero degrees Celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.
• Winter fuel payment (external link) - you could get between £100 and £300 tax-free to help pay your heating bills if you were born on or before 26 September 1955. This is known as a ‘Winter Fuel Payment’.
