Dancers to strut their stuff at festival

The whole family can enjoy a fantastic free celebration of dance and music at Coronation Park in Ormskirk on Sunday 25 June between 11am and 4pm.

The Ormskirk Dance Festival features exciting performances from a number of groups ranging from line dancing to street dance centred around the park bandstand. There will also be other musical entertainment.

Groups performing are Attitude Dance, Base Dance, Divine Dance, Dream Makers, E Rooms, Learning Stars, Lucy Contemporary Tap, Moonflower, and The Conway Girls.

Plenty of other attractions are lined up for people to enjoy including dance and art workshops, children’s rides and entertainment, a bouncy castle, craft activities, donkey rides, community stalls and much more.

West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Service has teamed up with Divine Days Community Arts CIC for the third year running to organise the extravaganza.

Katie Whitehead, Managing Director and founder, says “It’s the highlight of our performance calendar – we love working with the Park Rangers and performing with so many different Dance/Performance troops from our community. We love seeing all the hard work of planning and rehearsing come together.”
