Families can have a great day out at Richmond Park Fun Day
The whole family can have a great time at the Richmond Park Fun Day on Sunday 12 June between 11am and 4pm.
West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Service has worked with the Friends of Richmond Park to organise the fun day at the park off Junction Lane, Burscough. The event will have lots of exciting activities for people of all ages and celebrate our community.
There will be bands, singers and dancers to entertain the crowds. There will also be an entertainment competition ‘Burscough’s Got Talent’ for children aged 5 and 16.
There are also great competitions for our canine friends to enter with a fun dog show so make sure you bring your dog with you!
The categories include: Waggiest tail; Most obedient; Best trick; Best adult dog (over 9 months); Best puppy (under 9 months); and dog/owner lookalike.
Burscough Richmond FC will be running ‘Beat the Goalie’, and there will be 'have a go' sessions at tennis and bowling, as well as fairground rides and a bouncy castle.
Refreshments will be available and local community groups and traders will also have stalls on the day.
To enter the Burscough’s Got Talent Competition please email the rangers on email@example.com by no later than 4pm on Saturday 11 June.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “The whole family will enjoy this fun day in Richmond Park, so make sure you come along and don’t miss all the fun. I am sure there are plenty of talented youngsters in Burscough and Burscough’s Got Talent will be a great show.”
The fun day has received funding from Burscough Parish Council. Please note parking in the local area is extremely limited and there will be no parking available at the park. People are advised to walk to the park when coming to enjoy the fun day.
