If you are looking for a new home in Rufford keep an eye out for new affordable homes available to rent and buy that are expected to be completed shortly.
West Lancashire Borough Council has negotiated an arrangement with Jones Homes to provide 14 affordable homes on their popular development at Roseacre Gardens, Rufford, Lancashire, L40 1SR. It is intended that all the affordable homes will be owned by a housing association.
The Council has nomination rights for the rental properties. These consist of 10 homes, which are made up of four two-bedroom houses, four three-bedroom houses and two two-bedroom bungalows. Initial preference will be given to households with a local connection to the Rufford area in line with the Council’s allocation policy.
The remaining four properties consist of three two-bedroom houses and one three-bedroom house. These will be available for shared ownership sale once a housing association has been identified for the site. In the meantime, if you are interested in shared ownership on this site, then please send your contact details to the Council’s Housing Strategy and Development Programme Manager: firstname.lastname@example.org. Your details will then be passed on to the housing association who acquires the affordable homes.
Jacqui Sinnott-Lacey, the Council’s Director of Housing and Inclusion, said: “The Council has made a commitment to providing good quality affordable housing. The development of these homes for rent and shared ownership sale is another example of how we are delivering that promise to people in our communities.”
The rented houses will be advertised on HomeFinder, the Council’s choice-based letting scheme. You must be fully registered with HomeFinder so you can bid for properties. Information on how to register for HomeFinder is available on the website westlancshomefinder.co.uk (external link). If you are interested in the rented properties, please register as soon as possible and then check the website regularly as they will be advertised soon.
