Come and enjoy February half-term holiday activities at the Chapel Gallery
The Chapel Gallery has some fun filled creative ways for children to fill their half-term holiday.
Curious Worlds is the focus for a full day workshop for 8–12 year olds on Wednesday 18 February. The youngsters will work with professional artist Emma Blackburn to explore imaginative worlds inspired by the gallery’s current exhibition The Curious World of Becky Adams. The exhibition includes an array of curious objects and images, created with vintage fabrics and antique ephemera, each with a story to tell.
The workshop takes place between 10.30am and 4.30pm, and costs £12. Children must bring their own packed lunch or book a packed lunch from the café.
Pre-school children and adults can have fun with teapots at the Free Topsy Turvey workshop on Friday 20 February. Families can share a creative experience, paint, model and explore using a variety of materials. This free workshop takes place between 10.30am and 12.30pm, and is repeated between 1.30pm- 3.30pm.
To book places at these sessions please contact the Chapel Gallery on 01695 571328 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gallery staff have also organised a special half term activity in Unit 63 at the Sandy Lane Shopping Centre on Wednesday 18 February called ‘How does your Garden Grow?’
Is a fun and creative workshop for all the family with professional artist Sarah Jane Richards. She will help children and families paint flowers and use paper to create hanging gardens.
The free workshop is between 11am and 3pm. No booking required. People can just drop in.
