Families can get creative at the Chapel Gallery during the Easter holidays with some egg-cellent free artistic activities.
Visitors to the gallery in Ormskirk can enjoy making Easter bunny masks and make up an Easter basket. They can also see what they can make with egg shapes and do painting and sewing with an Easter theme.
Activities take place on Wednesday 9 April 2014, Friday 11 April 2014 and Wednesday 16 April 2014 between 10am and midday and 1pm to 3pm.
The Chapel Gallery café even has a special Easter menu, which includes sharing options with a tasty Easter cupcake and a wonderful dessert of homemade meringues, served with strawberries and cream.
Councillor David Sudworth, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Don’t miss these exciting events which are great opportunities for families to show off their creative talents.”
There are plenty of other exciting attractions at the Chapel Gallery for people to enjoy. Adult learning sessions start in April, and with classes in life drawing, creative writing and creative knitting, there’s plenty to inspire and appeal to your creative side.
To book a place on the free family-friendly Easter activities and for more details on the adult learning classes please call the West Lancashire Borough Council-run gallery on 01695 571328 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can go to the gallery’s website (external link) for more information on the adult learning classes.
The Storytellers Exhibition runs through the whole of Easter and right up until Saturday 3 May. This is a magical exhibition of artworks inspired by narrative and there are interactive activities to do in the main gallery space.
