West Lancashire Borough Council is urging people to check their details are correct following the publication of the 2014 Register of Electors.
The revised version of the full Register of Electors is now available for inspection, under supervision, during office hours at the Council offices, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk. You can also check your details by calling 01695 585018.
European Parliamentary and Borough Council elections will be held on 22 May 2014. People who are not on the Register of Electors will not be able to vote in those elections.
Gill Rowe, Returning Officer, said: “You need to be on the electoral roll to have your say in local and European elections and incorrect details may result in residents not being able to vote – so it really is worth taking the time to check."
For more information about how to register to vote, about the Register of Electors, or changing your details on the Register, if they are incorrect, please contact Electoral Services on 01695 585018 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are not on the Register you need to complete an application form and this must be received by the Council no later than Tuesday 6 May in order for you to be able to vote in the 2014 elections.
