Local residents can submit topic suggestions for review
The borough Council’s Corporate and Environmental Overview and Scrutiny Committee is inviting local residents to submit topic suggestions for reviews to be included in their work programme for 2014/15. Through its work the Committee will bring forward appropriate recommendations to Cabinet and Council.
Topics can cover any area of the Borough Council’s work and the work of partner organisations that might have significance for the local community in West Lancashire. The reviews carried out by the Committee provide a valuable insight into issues facing local communities and can assist the work of the Council.
Reviews in previous years have covered a wide range of topics including Cycling in West Lancashire; Healthy Schools; Alcohol and Associated Problems; Speeding Traffic; Climate Change; Affordable Housing; Neighbourhood Management; Older Peoples’ Services and Governance Arrangements to name but a few.
During 2013/14 the Committee considered a variety of topics ranging from Dog Fouling to Health Provision Changes: Local Roles and Responsibilities.
If you have a suggestion that you think might be suitable then please let us know. Email your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01695 585016.
The deadline for topic suggestions for the 2014/15 work programme is Friday 13 June 2014.
