Celebrate West Lancashire and raise money for the Mayor’s charities
Come and enjoy a fabulous concert at Rufford Old Hall and help raise funds for two very worthy causes.
The Mayor of West Lancashire’s Charity Committee is organising the ‘Celebrating West Lancashire’ concert in the park at the old hall on Saturday 5 September from 3pm-8pm.
There will be a great range of entertainment, including dancers and a wide range of different types of music. All entertainers are from the borough and will be giving their time for free to help raise money for the charities.
There will be lots of craft stalls celebrating what West Lancashire has to offer, and fun for all the family with face painting and many more attractions.
So why not bring your own picnic, and tables and chairs and blankets and enjoy a great afternoon of entertainment. Tickets are £8 for adults. Children can get in for free but must be accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds go to the Mayor’s charities, which are Lancashire Young Carers, which is funded by Barnardo’s, Lancashire County Council and local health authorities, and the Alzheimer’s Society in West Lancashire.
Councillor Nikki Hennessy, Mayor of West Lancashire, said: “We have plenty of great things to celebrate in West Lancashire and we plan to do this at our fantastic concert. So make sure you buy your tickets as soon as possible as they are sure to sell out quickly.
“I am very grateful to all the performers who have given up their time for free and I am sure they will put on a great show.”
Tickets are available from Ann England at West Lancashire Borough Council on 01695 585033 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can pay at the gate on the day.
