Get into the Festive Sprit with free fun activities for all the family at Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk.
The Gallery’s Creative Space is open from 10am-4pm on Saturdays for families and friends to have fun and making things together. There is no facilitator in the Creative space so young people need to be accompanied at all times.
On Saturday 12 December there is a special activity in Creative Space where people can make Christmas cards, and another on Saturday 19 December they can make a Christmas character.
The week before Christmas the West Lancashire Borough Council-run Gallery has three days of exciting free activities.
Professional story teller Sue Allenby will enthral you and your family with a series of delightful tales this festive season on Monday 21 December, so come along and be delighted and amazed. The sessions are between 10.15am-11am; 11.30am-12.15pm; 1.15pm-2pm; and 2.30pm-3.15pm.
Then on Tuesday 22 December and Wednesday 23 December the whole family can enjoy a festive feast of making and creating activities with professional artist Jane Coyle. Families can create something to take home, such as a decoration or a special party hat amongst a whole range of activities. On Tuesday the session is 1.30pm-3.30pm and on Wednesday the sessions are 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “These are fantastic free family activities for the festive season so come along to the Gallery and get into the festive spirit.”
Please book in advance for all the activities except for using the Creative Space. Please note families can only book one session per day. Telephone Chapel Gallery on 01695 571328 or email email@example.com.
If you still want to pick up a unique Christmas gift then come along to the Gallery’s Objects of Desire Exhibition, where beautiful artwork created by professional artists can be purchased for that special gift. The exhibition runs until Saturday 9 January.
In the run up to Christmas, the Chapel Gallery is open 10am-4.30pm from Monday to Saturday. It will close at midday on Christmas Eve and re-open on Tuesday 5 January.
