Ormskirk’s Chapel Gallery is hosting some exciting events which will help people really get into the festive spirit and find some special presents.
The Gallery’s fantastic Christmas Fair opens at midday on Friday 27 November, the same day as the Ormskirk Christmas lights are turned on. The craft fair will host more than 40 stalls displaying an amazing range of contemporary handmade work from across the North West. So if you are looking for unique gift idea this really could be the place for you.
On the night of the Christmas lights switch on the fair will extend out onto Moor Street as a marquee will be set up with stalls for local traders and arts and crafts makers. There will also be a bar and entertainment. Visitors can browse over 40 stalls and enjoy artisan foods, craft demonstrations and free activities for families. The Special Event on Friday 27, from 6-8pm, has live music and complementary mulled wine. The fair will be 10am-4pm on Saturday 28 November, and 10am-4pm on Sunday 29 November. Father Christmas will be there from 11am on Sunday.
If you still need to buy presents after Christmas Fair the gallery is hosting a Handmade and Vintage Fair on Saturday 5 December. Visitors can see some fantastic gift ideas and there will be plenty of fun activities for children and families to enjoy.
Organising family events is a key aim of the Ormskirk Town Centre Strategy. Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Come along to the Chapel Gallery to enjoy these fantastic Christmas events. The whole family can have a great time and pick up some lovely Christrmas presents.”
