With spring well and truly here there are free fabulous fun events around the borough for people to enjoy organised by West Lancashire Borough Council's Parks and Countryside Service.
Crown Green Bowls is a great game for the whole family and a fantastic fun way to get some light exercise. If you have always fancied having a go or are looking for a way to get into the game then why not come along to the Introduction to Bowling event at Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Saturday 2 April. There will be a trained coach available to let you know what to do and children will be especially welcome to have a go as well as adults – fun for the whole family. Meet at the parks bowling pavilion for 10am to take part.
On Monday 4 April people can enjoy an invigorating five-mile health walk around Up Holland. Meet at Abbey Lakes at 10am to join in. For more information about our health walk programme check out health walks.
On Saturday 16 April there will be the latest in a series of clean up events in Skelmersdale’s hidden treasure, Tawd Valley Park.
