If you want to give your views on an item on a Borough Council agenda then you could be given that chance.
West Lancashire residents are being offered the opportunity to speak on certain agenda items at Council meetings where important decisions are made that affect people across the borough.
In addition to those arrangements already in place for speaking at Planning and Licensing Committees, the Council has introduced public speaking at meetings of Cabinet, Audit & Governance Committee, Standards Committee and Overview and Scrutiny Committees.

Agendas for these meetings will be published on the Council’s website on the Monday of the week preceding the meeting, for example the September Cabinet agenda will be published on Monday, 5 September.
To request to speak, members of the public must contact Member Services with their request by 5pm on the Thursday of the week preceding the meeting, for example a request to speak at September Cabinet must reach us by 5pm on Thursday 8 September. The request can be submitted by email to email@example.com or by sending to: Member Services, West Lancashire Borough Council, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk, West Lancashire, L39 2DF.
