Give your views to important research exercise for Ormskirk town centre
Ormskirk residents and businesses are being invited to take part in an important survey about the town centre.
Developing a marketing strategy for Ormskirk is a key aim for the Ormskirk Town Centre Strategy. West Lancashire Borough Council has organised a market research exercise, with input from other Ormskirk Town Centre Management Group members and the information gathered will be used to help ensure Ormskirk has a vibrant and prosperous future.
Separate online surveys aimed specifically at Ormskirk residents and businesses are now available at your views. The surveys can be submitted anonymously and take around five minutes to complete. Time is limited and the online surveys will only be available to fill in until midnight on Friday 29 January.
Other people in West Lancashire and further afield will have the chance to take part in the exercise through face-to-face street surveys in Ormskirk and other towns. There will also be workshops and focus groups with invited guests. The whole exercise is expected to be completed by late February.
Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council and portfolio holder for Economic Regeneration, said: “To ensure we have a marketing strategy that will make a real difference to Ormskirk and to you we need insight from local residents and business bosses that are most familiar with Ormskirk as a place to live, work, spend leisure time and do business. I would urge people living, working or running businesses in Ormskirk to take part in the survey to help us get as accurate a picture of the town as possible.”
Overall, the market research will collate evidence on:
- Ormskirk’s visitor profile Shopping habits
- Opinions on the market
- Perceptions of Ormskirk
- Comparison of Ormskirk’s offer with other competitor towns
The information gathered will be used to influence all aspects of how Ormskirk is marketed in the future. For more information about the Ormskirk Town Centre Strategy or to download a copy visit Regeneration.
