A fabulous array of stalls including clothing, jewellery, cards, paintings, jams and cakes will be on sale at the new Makers’ Markets at the Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk.
Alongside the gallery’s exciting exhibition programme, gift shop and café, local traders will be showing off their retro, up-cycled, home-baked and homeware goods at the weekly markets. They will start on Saturday 7 May and will open at 10am until 4pm every Saturday.
There will be over 30 stalls as well as a range of children’s activities, and another exciting attraction at the first market will see talented artist Alan Newton giving potter’s wheel demonstrations. Visitors to the market will have the chance to throw a pot under Alan’s expert eye. More details on how you can book a free place will be available soon. Contact the Chapel Gallery on 01695 571328, or email email@example.com to find out more.
The Makers’ Markets provide a fantastic opportunity for individuals and traders who are engaging in making and want to sell their goods. Other types of goods that will be available at the markets include soaps, kits to make something, wood turned items, ceramics, glass, drawings, and furniture.
There are still a few places for traders available at the first market. So if you are interested in hiring a stall for the opening event and future Makers’ Markets please contact the gallery for an application form. The price for stalls starts from £10.
