Do you have any great photos of Skelmersdale you want to be in a public exhibition?
Then don’t miss the Skelmersdale Landscapes photography competition which is being organised by West Lancashire Borough Council at its pop-up gallery and café at 116 Sandy Lane Shopping Centre. Open to all, this photography competition is for anyone to enter.
Whether you’ve taken the photograph on your camera or your phone, as long as it’s a good quality image that is over 1mb, the gallery team can use it. The pictures can show any scenes found in Skelmersdale, from the built up areas in the town centre and residential streets to the wilder, more rural places.
All appropriate entries to the competition will be exhibited in the new pop up gallery. Organisers hope the exhibition will show the wide variety of landscape scenes found in Skelmersdale.
There are two categories:
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “This competition is a great opportunity for people to show off their photographic skills, so make sure you submit your pictrues.”
To submit your entry, please email your photograph as a jpg image between 1 and 3mb to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please write 'Skelmersdale Landscapes' as your subject and write your name, address, phone number and email address in your email, along with your Age Category (if under 16, please include your age). The deadline for submissions is Saturday 21 May.
Unfortunately, photographs submitted cannot be returned at the end of the exhibition.
If you have any questions regarding the competition, please contact staff at the Chapel Gallery on 01695 571328 or email email@example.com.
