Come along to open day at Evenwood Court sheltered housing scheme and see how nice it is to live in sheltered accommodation.
Major improvements have been made for Evenwood Court tenants by West Lancashire Borough Council, and people thinking of moving into sheltered accommodation should come and take a look.
New kitchens and bathrooms have been fitted in flats on the housing scheme, the existing lift has been refurbished and an additional lift has been installed that ensures every home is easily accessible. Low level showers have been put in to replace baths where new bathrooms have been installed.
The communal lounge has been completely refurbished with major alterations to windows and the internal layout with new furniture and fixtures and fittings making it a light, bright and comfortable room to sit and meet your friends and family. A new conservatory has also been added bringing the garden into the lounge.
People already living at Evenwood Court joined the celebrations for an official unveiling of the newly refurbished scheme along with the Mayor of West Lancashire Councillor Liz Savage and Council officers.
There are currently some vacant flats at Evenwood Court and members of the public can come along to an open day on Wednesday 19 October 2016, between 11am and 3pm, and see how nice it is to live there, refreshments will also be available.
Councillor Jenny Patterson, portfolio holder for Housing and Landlord Services, said: “The work carried out at Evenwood Court by the Council is excellent and provides excellent value for money as it will really benefit people living there. So if you are thinking of living in sheltered accommodation, or have relatives who may want to live in Evenwood Court, then please come along to our open day.”
