Families are invited to visit the Chapel Gallery this half-term for free and enjoy bright and colourful activities led by professional artists Sharon Kelly and Andy Shaw.
Children of all ages and their families can make and decorate their own colourful kaleidoscopes and colour spinners. The following free drop-in sessions take place between 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30 – 3:30pm:
Tuesday 14 February: A kaleidoscope of colours!
Decorate your very own kaleidoscope with anything you like, whether that is a space rocket, an animal character or an array of colour and patterns!
Friday 17 February: Spinners and Spirographs
Create an arty spinner to cover with a multitude of spirograph artwork and watch your design come to life at the twist of your hand.
Although these are drop-in sessions, numbers are limited so early attendance is advised.
There are also free and fun gallery-based activities throughout the venue, from making colourful patterned tiles to creating characters from modelling clay.
Visitors can also find out information about the Chapel Gallery’s Art Club, for any creative young people who want to learn more about art, develop their imaginations and make new friends.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, West Lancashire Borough Council portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Chapel Gallery half-term activities are always great fun for the whole family, so make sure you don’t miss these great events.”
