The family can enjoy a great time at the Richmond Park Fun Day on Sunday 11 June between 11am and 4pm.
One of the main attractions at the free event will be a fun pet show, starting at 1pm, with a number of categories for animal lovers to choose from. These are: best pet/owner lookalike; best trick; most obedient; fastest tail in the west and happiest face.
Owners do not have to put their pets into the contest in advance and can bring their pets along on the day. If they want more information before the day they can call 01695 570258. Can owners please ensure all pets are supervised during the day.
There are plenty of other activities including fair rides; donkey rides; community stalls and food and drink.
The event is organised by the West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Ranger Service and supported by the Friends of Richmond Park and there is lots of fun for people to enjoy.
Dave Tilleray, the Council’s Director of Leisure and wellbeing, said: “The whole family will enjoy this fun day in Richmond Park, and the pet show will be a great chance for proud owners to show off their beloved pets.”
Parking in the local area is extremely limited and there will be no parking available at the park. People are advised to walk to the park when coming to enjoy the fun day.
