Mayor of West Lancashire Councillor Liz Savage is rounding off her fundraising for the year in fine style with three exciting events.
Councillor Savage has been working hard with the Mayor’s Charity Committee to raise money for four very worthy causes during her Mayoral year. These are the Neo-Natal Unit at Ormskirk Hospital; the Artz Centre, Birch Green; The Civic in Ormskirk and the Birchwood Centre, Skelmersdale.
On Thursday 30 March a tea dance will take place at The Civic (formerly Ormskirk Civic Hall) between 2pm and 4pm. Tickets, priced £5, and can be bought from the Civic on 01695 576607 or Ann England on 01695 585033, or by emailing email@example.com.
Easter Bingo is the next "eggs-cellent" event and takes place on Friday 7 April at St Anne’s Parish Centre on Prescot Road, Ormskirk, starting at 7.30pm. Entry is £2 including refreshments and advance tickets can be bought from The Civic, Barn Owl on Moor Street and Mooney Everett Solicitors in Ormskirk. Or you can contact Rachel on 07964 841218.
Then the big finale is the Mayor’s Showcase at Hurlston Hall Golf Club on Friday 21 April. A really enjoyable evening is planned with musical entertainment to be provided by the Artz Centre as well as a disco, auction and a raffle. Tickets priced £25, including a three-course meal, are available from MayorsCharitywlbc@mail.com or from Ann England on 01695 585033.
Councillor Savage said: “This will be a fantastic night to round off an exciting and rewarding year of fundraising for these four very worthy causes. A lot of people have been really supportive of our events while I have been Mayor and I would hope that many of those people can come along to this final event to help celebrate our successful year.”
