Everyone can get in the mood for Christmas at festive parks events in West Lancashire

Start your Christmas celebrations early by coming along to a carol concert in Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Monday 1 December.

Ormskirk District Scouts have organised an evening of seasonal songs and hymns, which starts at 6.30pm, and will be accompanied by the Salvation Army Brass Band.

Anyone is welcome to join in, and once the concert is over people are welcome to go back to Ormskirk Parish Church for refreshments.

Then on Sunday 7 December visitors to Beacon Country Park can make a very special Christmas decoration by doing a wreath using materials sustainably harvested from the park. No need to book in advance, just drop into the park’s Ranger Station between 1pm and 3pm.

Councillor David Sudworth, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Christmas is just around the comer so come along and enjoy our seasonal parks events.”
