Come and enjoy plenty of Halloween screams at Coronation Park in Ormskirk
Friday night will become Fright Night at Ormskirk’s Coronation Park as crowds flock to enjoy the fantastic Halloween Extravaganza on 31 October.
An exciting free evening of Halloween antics is planned between 6pm and 8pm, including scary walks through the woods with witches, vampires and ghosts.
Come along in your spookiest costume as there is a fancy dress competition with prizes for the best outfit.
Spooktacular rock band 909 will provide the musical entertainment for people to sing and dance along.
12-century re-enactment group Historia Normannis will be giving a medieval combat demonstration, and visitors can have a go at archery with them. Artist Angie Thompson will be doing art activities with glow sticks, and Silcocks Fair will be providing some small rides for the event.
Hot food and other refreshments will also be available on the night. Councillor David Sudworth, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “There will be plenty of ghosts, witches and wizards at the Halloween Extravaganza, so come along and enjoy the fun. It will be a scream!”
People can get in the mood for Halloween by carving scary pumpkins at Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October, starting at 2pm on both days. The pumpkins will be lined up around the park’s pond on Halloween night and the best three will be given a prize that night. This will be the second of the Ranger Skills events.
Booking is essential for the pumpkin carving. To reserve your place and find out more about the Ranger Skills events telephone 01695 622794 or email the rangers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
