Arts and crafts makers can apply for stalls at the Chapel Gallery Christmas Markets
Ormskirk’s Chapel Gallery is hosting a weekend wonderland of sparkling contemporary crafts and festive entertainment in November to get everyone in the Christmas mood.
And if you are a maker of arts, crafts, vintage, or retro goods then don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to sell your exciting goods to hundreds of people looking for that unique Christmas gift. For more details contact the West Lancashire Borough Council-run gallery on 01695 571328 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The gallery activities are free to enter and the stalls will provide plenty of great ideas for special Christmas presents and treats.
All the fun begins on Friday 25 November, the same day as Ormskirk’s Christmas lights are switched on, with a big Christmas Fair open from noon to 8pm.
Visitors will discover arts and craft stalls inside the Chapel Gallery and a bustling Christmas marquee in the town centre. People can browse the stalls for Christmas gifts while enjoying a festive atmosphere, free creative activities for families, live music, entertainment and a Christmas Grotto in Ormskirk Town Centre.
The family focused evening event, from 6-8pm, has a face painter, free activities, live entertainment and artisan foods, including a complementary glass of warm mulled wine for visitors, while stocks last.
The Christmas theme continues on Saturday 26 November with the monthly Makers’ Market between 10am and 4pm. Families can pick up unique, personalised Christmas gifts for all the family. A wide selection of crafts will be on offer, demos will take place throughout the day, and there’s free entertainment and creative activities. Visitors who wander into the town centre will find the famous Cotton Town Hot Club vintage DJs, with their dancers.
The weekend is rounded off with a Vintage and Handmade Fair on Sunday 27 November from 10am-4pm. This market will not disappoint, with a fabulous array of wares and a great selection of food and drink. There will be demos and free craft activities for the whole family.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “With Christmas shopping season just around the corner shoppers and traders should make sure they don’t miss these fantastic fairs. They will be great fun for all the family and an ideal opportunity to pick up a great Christmas gift.”
