Enjoy scares and screams for Halloween
Be prepared for fantastic frights and stupendous screams as scary creatures descend on Coronation Park, Ormskirk, for Halloween on Monday 31 October.
There are plenty of scary goings on planned between 6pm and 8pm at this magnificent Halloween extravaganza, including scary walks through the woods with vampires and ghosts.
Live Halloween music will be provided by The Doctors, and Base Dance will perform some spooky dances to entertain you all. There will also be a spooky costumes competition.
Just before Halloween people can enjoy carving scary pumpkins at Stanley Coronation Park on Saturday 29 October at 10am. Pumpkin carving sessions are also planned for Richmond Park, Burscough, on Saturday 29 October, at 2pm and Coronation Park, Ormskirk at 2pm on Sunday 30 October. Booking is essential for the pumpkin carving. To reserve your place, please call 01695 570258 or 01695 622794.
The pumpkins from the carving sessions will be dotted around Coronation Park, Ormskirk, on Halloween night and the best three will be given a prize that night.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Halloween will definitely be a scream at Coronation Park, Ormskirk, so don’t miss this fantastic evening of fun and games for all the family.”
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all events. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather and ground conditions.
